Chocolate & Raspberry Postal Cake
A new addition to our postal cake selection. We've designed this cake so that it is suitable for delivery via post.
Two layers of fluffy chocolate sponge with a centre of vanilla bean meringue buttercream and housemade raspberry jam. Decorated in chocolate ganache and a hard chocolate shell with raspberry & rose petal decoration.
This is a mini 4" cake with 2 layers which serves 2-6 portions.
Ingredients: brown sugar, wheat flour (cereals containing gluten), sour cream (milk), water, eggs, sunflower oil, cocoa, meringue buttercream (butter (milk), golden caster sugar, egg whites, vanilla (contains alcohol)), dark chocolate shell (cacao beans, cane sugar, cocoa butter, sunflower lecithin, vanilla beans, coconut oil), raspberry jam (raspberries, sugar), bicarbonate of soda, baking powder, salt, coffee. Allergens highlighted in bold.
A common question we receive is which size cake should we go for. The answer really depends on how much cake you want to eat! Our serving sizes are suggestions. If you are choosing between 2 sizes, opt for the larger size as any leftovers can be kept for 1-2 days. We require just two days notice for these cakes
Celebration Cakes (decorated with fresh fruits and flowers)
Due to their fragile nature, these cakes are only suitable for hand delivery in London or collection from EC1R 0NE. This will be specified in the item listing. All celebration cakes come with three layers of sponge and are over 4" high.
Mini - 4" wide, serves 4-6 slices
Small - 6" wide, serves 8-12 slices
Medium - 8" wide, serves 14-20 slices
Large - 10" wide, serves 30-40 slices
We have specifically developed a range of cakes that keep well for several days from posting and can stand up being sent in the post. Iced cakes should be eaten within 2-3 days of receipt. Un-iced cakes should be eaten within 7 days of receipt and can be frozen for up to 3 months.
