WHAT SIZE CAKE ?
It's not a straight forward answer. The answer really depends on how much cake you want to eat! Everyone has a different idea of serving size so we've added some visuals below to help.
All celebration cakes come with three layers of sponge and are over 4" high.
You may notice that these numbers below are higher than listed on the product page. We understand most people aren't slicing their cakes to exact measurements and the difference accounts for this.
SMALLER PORTIONS - approximately 1" x 1" x 4" per slice. Please note you'll need to be slicing with a ruler to achieve these portion sizes.
MINI - cake is 4" wide, serves up to 12 smaller portions
SMALL- cake is 6" wide, serves up to 24 smaller portions
MEDIUM - cake is 8" wide, serves up to 40 smaller portions
LARGE - cake is 10" wide, serves up to 60 smaller portions
LARGER PORTIONS - approximately 2" x 1" x 4" per slice. Twice the width of the above slices.
MINI - cake is 4" wide, serves up to 6 larger portions
SMALL- cake is 6" wide, serves up to 12 larger portions
MEDIUM - cake is 8" wide, serves up to 24 larger portions
LARGE - cake is 10" wide, serves up to 40 larger portions
PRO TIPS.
Slicing into rectangles is an easier way to make the cake go further.
You'll find slicing easier if the cake is slightly chilled. Note that the cake is tastier at room temperature so you don't want it fridge cold
LEFTOVERS?
You can refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days. You can freeze leftovers in an airtight container for up to three months. Let the cake come to room temperature
